Liza Snyder

Snyder is a native of Northampton, Massachusetts. Her mother, a singer/songwriter has been her father. He is also an associate professor of theater at Smith College. Johnny Green is a composer who has been awarded five Oscar Awards. Betty Furness was an actress, consumer reporter and an former Academy Award winner. Snyder was a student in The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, New York City. Her coach was Sanford Meisner. Snyder began her career appearing in episodes of television dramas including The Trials of Rosie O'Neill and Murder, She Wrote. In 1993, she secured the lead role as Molly Whelan in the ABC and later syndicated crime series Sirens. Following the cancellation of the show after two seasons, she appeared in two television films made specifically for TV in addition to guest-starring on Chicago Hope, and Pacific Blue. The actress was a regular on Jesse, the NBC comedy Jesse starring Christina Applegate from 1998-2000. Her big-screen debut was in the second role in Pay It Forward, directed by Mimi Leder. Snyder began her acting career as Christine Hughes, a CBS sitcom Yes, Dear, later in the year. In the year 2006, the show concluded. The show ended in 2006. Yes, Dear, Snyder went on hiatus for a period of five years. Her return to TV came in 2011 with a guest-starring character on an episode House as an uninvolved patient in need of to donate her lung.
